Healing Colors is a youth-led community initiative that brings joy and creativity to children in hospitals and shelters through handmade art kits, cards, and gifts. Our mission is to spread smiles and hope through art, one colorful creation at a time.
Healing Colors was born out of a passion for uplifting the spirits of children facing difficult times. We believe in the power of art to brighten lives and make a positive impact. Join us in our journey to sprinkle the world with love and healing colors.
Our Story
Founded by Hellen Ardines
I started Healing Colors in summer of 2025 before my senior year of high school with a simple goal: to bring comfort to children through creativity.
After moving from Panama to the U.S., art became my way to heal and express emotions I couldn’t put into words. I wanted to give that same sense of hope to kids facing difficult times in hospitals and shelters.
What began as a small school project quickly grew into a community effort. Our first event, the Halloween Drive, inspired others to join and donate books and toys, and now, we're partners with Nicklaus Children’s Hospital to collect books and toys for their patients.
Every card, drawing, and handmade gift we create is a reminder that even small acts of kindness can make the world brighter, one color at a time.
